In loving memory of Douglas Dwyer who sadly passed away on 15th December 2020.

Douglas will be remembered as a great father and husband by his family, but also as a creative and inventive scientist leaving behind many designs in telecommunications and healthcare.

As an electronics engineer Doug specialised in radio frequency crystal oscillator design working for STC, BAE, Marconi and GEC Plessy. Doug was a leader in his field and worked around the globe on many high profile projects many of which are still covered under the official secrets act.

In the 1980’s Doug started working for himself creating his company Frequency Precision to pursue his love of inventing. In order to help nursing home staff looking after his mother Doug developed a bed leaving sensor. Frequency Precision would continue to use this design and grow into a larger telecare company that thrives to this day.

Doug loved new ideas and solving difficult problems. His broad knowledge and varied interests including astronomy, traditional folk music, and antique clocks made him a great lateral thinker.

Terry and Eric Bosshard donated £50 in memory of Douglas

In memory of our dear friend, Douglas, who was always such a kind, clever and inspiring personality. We wish that Sally and the children will carry his light on for many years.
Fondest love, Terry and Eric xxx
