In loving memory of Elaine Mary Smith who sadly passed away on 28th December 2020
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Elaine leaves behind her husband of 44 years, Ken, daughters Rachel and Becky and grandchildren Kayleigh, Mia, Douglas and James.
Elaine’s other loves included travelling the world with Ken, cooking and any craft involving needles, which she found so relaxing after a hard day’s work.
Although very much the “home bird”, Elaine was also a nurse, early in her working life, and only retired from the NHS in 2018, having worked as a senior NHS administrator at Princess Royal University Hospital near Bromley for the previous 14 years. She could not wait to retire, so that she could spend as much time as possible with her family and travelling the world with Ken. Although Elaine was only to enjoy 2 1/2 years of retirement, she was able to achieve many of her goals in that time, including an amazing 9 week grand tour of France immediately after taking retirement, tours of Vietnam, South Africa and numerous sunshine breaks in Europe.
We all miss her dearly and life will never be the same for any of us.

My beautiful nanny, my second mummy, the woman who helped raise me along side my mum, grandad and auntie, losing you has been one of the most surreal feelings, I know that heaven has gained another angel and you are at peace. I miss you so much❤️
