A poem
To the living, I am gone,
To the sorrowful, I will never return,
To the angry, I was cheated,
But to the happy, I am at peace,
And to the faithful, I have never left.

I cannot speak, but I can listen.
I cannot be seen, but I can be heard.
So as you stand upon a shore gazing at a beautiful sea,
As you look upon a flower and admire its simplicity,
Remember me.

Remember me in your heart:
Your thoughts, and your memories,
Of the times we loved,
The times we cried,
The times we fought,
The times we laughed.
For if you always think of me, I will never have gone.

Alan
My Brother
It’s with tears and a sadness in my heart I warite these words to you.
You are certainly a one off my brother. Always ready to make people laugh and a party will not be the same without you, always with a project and a plan on the go, always ready with a song, who can forget your rendition of ‘Alouette’ (Navy Version I’ll have a wet) it was epic. We were always up for a dance (Strictly had nothing on us).
I will miss so much hearing about your daily antics at work and there were many LOL.
Just looking through our many photographs of memories captured in time, they will be held tight in my heart forever.
I was fortunate to have you has a brother. You enjoyed life and should have had more life to live.
Thank you for the good and happy times we shared. We would always be there for each other. I will have a pint for you when we can.
You were surrounded by our love when you fell asleep.
It’s not goodbye Al, just goodnight.
Love always your sister Margaret. XX

I writing this with a very heavy heart but how lucky was I to have such a great brother in law! Definitely one of life's characters who had so much more living to do. Our lives are so much duller now you have gone. Looking back on some family videos, we were crying and laughing at what we had had and what we had lost! Your Freddie Murcury impression of 'I want to break free' while dragging my hoover around with stay with me for ever. Thanks for the good times I will always raise a glass to you when I go to Blackpool. Lots of love Annie. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Our Alan, thoughts of memories built up over the years all come flooding back. When we repaired cars and bikes then headed to the pub for pint and a game of darts. Drinking too many bottles of homemade wine and you riding your bike home and missing the turnoff because you couldn't stop, and don't get me started on the Creme de Menthe. The camping trips we had, bogtrotting, tents flying away all the kids wanting to be carried and who can forget the laughter when you got bit by the horse fly and your leg swelled up. We had many happy and fun times over the years sometimes we would disagree but we always made up in the end we were always there for each other. Rest in peace brother
Cheers and thanks for the memories

Alan, no words can describe the sadness that I feel but I can say why I'm feeling this terrible grief....It's because
you,ve been around all my life, always there, always popping round in a garish Tshirt for a chat or to do a little electrical job for me. You'd often sit and tell me about your latest kitchen "Plan" or your latest garden design idea, ( the last one was a Tiki bar on WHEELS! ) You'd have a glass of wine then take the bottle with you because it had been "Opened" and for some unkown reason you liked to hide our cheese? You would drive me nuts with your endless terrorising of Annie and Sandie and I always knew that when I borrowed you one of my tools I wouldn't be seeing it again for at least a year! You were a party animal and I loved seeing you run riot with your mates in Blackpool, a place that you really loved and I hope that Heaven has been warned! You were unique and individual and I can't express in words how much I'm gonna miss you bruv, but I can tell you how much I love you and tell you that my heart is braking... RIP Alan, I'll never forget you brother XXX
