In loving memory of Michael Stanley Reddish who sadly passed away on 27th December 2020

Michael aka Mick discovered that he had lung cancer in October and was given a terminal diagnosed on the 19th October. Treatment wasn’t offered due to his health so we all knew that his time was limited.

The cancer progressed a lot fast than any of us imagined so after 11 weeks Michael was finally at peace and out of pain.

We were all very shocked as it has been so very quick. He spent his last week at Fair Havens hospice who did a totally amazing job at making him more comfortable until he passed.

Michael was a colourful character, a bit like his shirts, a loveable rogue with a massive heart.

His family and friends will miss him so much. A whole in our lives that can never be filled.

Michael enjoyed to make up a little ditti, here is one he wrote when we all had to go into the first lock down in March 2020

The Corona Blues

We are all reeling with the effects of the Corona Pandemic feeling

We have never been down this road before

And adapting to the rules can be a bore

We know that it makes some kind of sense

To stay at home or behind a garden fence

But the show must still go on

And we all must stay strong

Carrying on the best we can

Seeing the worst and the best in man

Two things remain you might find handy

Their names are Dettol aand all healing Brandy

One for the inside and one for the out

They guarantee We'll see this out.

Cause it is the Corona Blues.
