Letting you go grandad was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. You showed me how to be strong, you taught me the true meaning of family and overall you made me incredibly proud. The strength and fight you had in you was inspirational and I will forever be grateful for those final moments with you, in those moments you helped me find peace in this chaotic world. The 24th December was a day we lost a true gentleman, an absolute hero to all his family and an incredible man.
You will be dearly missed but forever live on in our hearts and memories.
Until we meet again Grandad, sleep well. Xx

Losing my dad has left a gaping hole that can never be filled. The legacy left by my dad will live on forever through my daughters, grandchildren and great granddaughter. My mum now has to try and live without the man who has been by her side for over sixty years. With the love of a devoted family we will all help with this. The world has lost a true gentleman, loving family man and most of all my hero. Goodbye dad, love you always

My dad was the best, my favorite person, my true hero. A hero to both me and my family. Dad I love you for fighting for so long. Yes, he was a gentleman, he was a proud man, he was all the wonderful things people are saying about him...but the most important thing to me is; he was my dad, Max’s grandad, and Millies “little grandad” Paul and Lauren thought the world of him, and he’s going to leave a huge hole in our family. We promise to keep making you proud. Good night, sleep tight, until next time xxx
