As a dad tough love was the name of the game, to prepare you for life, not to punish or shame,
He felt it his duty to show you the truth, even when he had very little proof.
We’d argue for hours into the night, drink one more brandy, put up one more fight,
But in the light of day he shone brighter than all, my dear old dad on a pedestal.

He set the bar high for us all to reach, and if others didn’t make it, he’d like to preach,
But deep down inside only his performance counted, the rest he cast an eye whenever he doubted,
Cos he knew if he pushed then we would push too and achieve greater things than we possibly knew.
I owe my will, conviction and fight to that man, my dear old dad Roger, the man that can.

So now we have parted but in us you live on, our hearts beat for you and they beat a rock song.
So raise your hand horns high for the legend that was, my daddy, my hero, Rockstar Rog.

Love you dad.

Roger, you were always such a kind and generous friend. It was an joy to be in a band with you, I learnt so much about music and Jack Daniels! You'll be sadly missed.

We were both so sad to hear of Roger's Diagnosis with MND earlier last year and even more sad to hear of his passing on Christmas Eve. Our Deepest sympathies and thoughts go out to Aunty Chris, Michelle, Rachel, and all the family.

We were lucky to get to see Roger and Chris down in Brixham in 2019 to share a Beer and a T-Bone steak. A great uncle!, Will be very much missed! ROCK ON ROG XX

Feel lucky to have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Roger, a real gent of a human being . A perfectionist at what ever he was doing, but most of all, always had smile on his face and you could bet he'd always put a smile on yours . Thanks for all the memories Rodgeee, I have and always will treasure them .

I had the privilege of playing in Rog's band Legend for the best part of 10 years. Rog was that very rare combination of great talent, humour and positivity that rubbed off on all of us in the band, and left us better people for having known him. His passion for music was infectious, and his bass drove the band - simply irreplaceable, simply the best. Love you Rog. "Keep on Rockin' In The Free World"

I wanted to post a video (I had to make do with a screenshot) I took and sent to Roger shortly after he was diagnosed. I went for a run in Montserrat a mountain ridge in Catalonia. While in the midst of such beauty I couldn't stop thinking of how fortunate I was and the fact that I wasn't going to be able to share those kinds of experiences with Roger anymore. Some hikers must have thought my crying was due to a strange reaction to over-exertion. I thought though that by thinking about him, whenever I do something he would have enjoyed, I am somehow sharing it. It's something I want to keep doing.

I miss you
