Michael Brosnahan (17 May 1937 - 3 Dec 2020)
Funeral Director
In loving memory of Michael Brosnahan who sadly passed away on 3rd December 2020.
Michael (or Brossie as he was often known as) was one of the nicest people you could be lucky enough to meet. Funny, happy, kind - that was him. He was devoted to Marguerite and Karen and he worked hard to provide for them. He was proud of his home and what he had achieved at the Bank of England.
Michael was the life and soul of the party! He loved socialising and was never happier than when he had a glass of whisky in one hand and a cigar in the other. He was often the first to arrive at a party and invariably he was the last to leave but never outstaying his welcome.
He loved playing golf and could often be found with Bank colleagues on various courses in Kent and Essex. Sadly he had to give up golf as his health deteriorated and he was unable to walk far.
One of Michael's proudest achievements was becoming Worshipful Master at the Brixton Coronation Masonic Lodge and he held this role twice in his life. He rarely missed Lodge of Instruction or the quarterly meetings and, of course, he loved attending the annual Ladies' Nights where he made it his duty to dance with each female in the room.
He really was one of life's characters and we all have happy memories of him. Please feel free to share any of your memories.
