Just found out about Brian's passing. Such sad news. I'm sure he will be missed dearly by those close to him. A loyal customer and friend to all at Cooper and Berry Ltd. To many laughs over the years to mention. The Brigadier will be fondly remembered. One of the old school..........
RIP Brian from all At Cooper and Berry.

Happy memories of Brian for being our early neighbor, our plumber and long time friend. Will miss him particularly at our future New Year shindigs. He carried his ill health with fortitude and bravery.

Brian came into our lives in the 1980's, when my love of ice hockey got the better of me, and I applied to become the Secretary of the Nottingham Junior Ice Hockey Club. Brian and Anne welcomed me, and my family, into the NJIHC fold with open arms, and from there, we spent many happy years working together for the Club and then later, the EIHA.

His infectious sense of humour and laugh diffused many awkward situations we encountered!

Brian always had the deepest passion for the game, and his vision and enthusiasm for the future helped drive many changes in the Junior game, that are now his lasting legacy.

Outside of hockey, Brian was just as positive, no matter what problem (particularly plumbing!) that you presented him with - he helped me out many times with property maintenance issues when I was Office Manager at Sport England.

We will miss you Bri, but you will always have a special place in our hearts and memories!

We both have fond memories of Brian, always the life and soul of any party. especially the night he dressed up in drag as an ugly sisters and gave an Oscar winning performance at a family Christmas party. A man never to be forgotten.

What can I say about my good friend? Brian and Anne were my rocks when times for me were tough, he was happiest on a Saturday night if I needed a job doing (while me and Anne drank wine!) I remember with joy the trips to the coast with our boys, sitting in the back of the car giggling while Anne & Brian argued over the crossword clues! Thank you Brigger for explaining about all the different types of brickwork and showing us all how to "dance to music" with the lovely Amos! The list of my special memories is endless! Sleep tight special man xxxx

So sad to say goodbye to Brian. He took the last two years in his stride with such courage and sensitivity thinking of Anne and his family first making sure everything for all their needs would be in place. Having been in the same position as Anne I know just how much that means.
Kenny is devastated he has lost the one and only real soulmate, it was a joy to me to see them together they had so much in common and really understood each other, such a sad loss for so many.
We miss the walks in Blidworth Woods but so grateful to have had those moments
All our love and thoughts to Anne , Simon, his girls and Amos.
Thanks for the memories, sleep tight my friend. Loraine and Kenny xxxx

Some of my fondest childhood memories revolve around this great man and his amazing family. Some 30plus years ago I had the privilege of staying with the Perkins family for a few weeks every year when attending the Nottingham Hockey School and every year I was more excited to to stay with these guys more than the hockey school itself! I will never forget the drive from the family home to the rink at 6am (or earlier) each morning and taking turns to sit/sleep in the back of Brian's van, a good morning would be catching all the lights on green, a bad morning was hitting the brakes hard on a red and the copper piping and tools in the van hurtling toward me! I have so many more memories but I will leave it here with, I don't remember too much from 30plus years ago but I do remember so much about Brian Perkins like it was yesterday"
