I worked with Bob for more than 20 tears. Apart from being a great friend and colleague he was simply the best.

Robert was the second son of Harold and Marion Woodford of Thelda Avenue, Keyworth. He had an older brother John and sisters Jane and Diane. He had a very happy childhood and a great love of most sports. He attended West Bridgford Grammar School where he excelled in athletics and rugby. He loved football and played for Keyworth United where he was spotted by Notts County who signed him up as right half at the age of 18. During this time he met his wife to be Gill Ashton from Stanton and they celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 2015 at Perkins surrounded by family and friends. They have two sons Richard and Peter, two grandchildren Kerry and Harry and a greatgrandaughter Mollie.
It was a great privilege to have shared my life with Rob for nearly 60 years. He will be much missed by all who knew him.
