I still chuckle when I remember the time you picked me up and took me to Shrewsbury.Off we went and were chatting away as we were driving down the motorway,the weather was awful too.After about an hour I said "Dad that sign said Leeds" your reply was "Don't be so bloody stupid"
That went on for a few miles then we came to another sign
"Look Dad it says Leeds 15 miles" "How the (lots of swear words) can it say Leeds,the satnav is saying stay on the motorway and that's what I have been doing"
We go a bit further and you suddenly shout "You are right Jacks,the (swear words) satnav has frozen and we have gone round in a circle"
You were fuming,we came off the motorway and pulled into a side road where you attacked the satnav and said "Jacks light me a fag before I break this thing"....we laughed so much about this then and after.
That and many other trips etc are what I will remember. Also your sense of humour,your smile and many other things that we shared over the years, but all that will live on in me.

That drive to find the Ribblehead Viaduct. We'd set off, all set to post Facebook status' about seeing Harry Potter and photos of one of many adventures. Instead we'd effectively drove round a massive field, got lost in the dark, hit tempretures of minus 5 degrees... "Slow down, the road is white!" "Dad, I'm doing ten mph" .... Then to finish the last part of the drive, the Satnav trying to send us through a fenced field.

I'll always remember our random drives, and chatting about everything in the world. Our many debates on life and current affairs. Our once a month trips to get food from the Pub. I'll miss your face before setting off to work. Cooking you bacon and egg for dinner. I'll miss the jokes about Spam. I'll miss having the ability to talk you into buying a TV you didn't need and anything else that was totally ridiculous. I'll miss meeting up with you in Matlock and eating chips and drinking tea. Ill miss our cards nights. I'll miss arguing about my car being in the way so you couldn't get your bike out. I'll miss the sound of that bike.
There's a lot of things I'll miss, but the one thing I'll miss the most is you.

I remember when he picked us up from the airport and kept arguing with the satnav even though he was going the opposite way to where it said. Fantastic bloke:)
