Privileged to have met you, so saddened to no longer be able to.
Such a generous geezer with time, wisdom, humour, fitting of immersion heaters (!), local knowledge, beers, refills of tea, promises of brick-laying lessons, sharing of birthdays, lending of radiators, pick-ups and drop-offs at pub then home...
Such an all-round 'really nice bloke'.

In 1988 we crossed the line in the final of The Thames Challenge Cup at The Henley Royal Regatta, in front of Thames Rowing Club A. I laid back onto his feet and looked up elated. He looked down at me as if to say - sit up silly boy.
No nonsense, never. Really good to catch up with him in our later Masters years.
A no nonsense Champion.

How incredibly fortunate was I to know Graham Angus. An adventurer who kept my excesses to acceptable limits. My deepest condolences to Clare, Philip and Heidi, it hurts me so much knowing he isn't around anymore, I have no idea how much more it will be hurting you.
