Deborah, your mum was always such a lovely gracious lady whenever we met with a warm smile and a mischievous twinkle in her eye! That must be where you get it from! Xxx

Brenda remembers her seventy five years of friendship and childhood growing up with Betty in St.Ann’s. We both recall the early times and life of our growing families, and the many enjoyable holidays we had together at home and abroad. The parties at our homes, with so much fun and laughing together, with Betty and Cliff and friends will always stay with us as a reminder of the love and life and friendship of Betty. Our thoughts and sympathy go out to the close and wider family. Betty, we will miss you! Love Brenda and Brian.

Betty has left us all, who had the privilege of knowing her, with so many uniquely loving memories.
My memories span over seventy years. She was always my big sister from when we grew up in St Annes, to her being the absolute treasure caring for my Mum when we had to move her into the Arden Lea home, Sherwood, when she developed Dementia and my visits - stays with her and Cliff during Business trips to Europe and England.
In reality, Betty was my cousin, the youngest daughter of Joe, the eldest Scothern Son, myself the only son of the youngest Scothern Daughter. Our families living just a stones throw apart. Betty was my babysitter and chief, I, Joe's trouble maker. Those early years were wonderful.
Betty was always a truly uniquely caring person, loved by all who came into her life from Jessops to Burton Joyce and beyond, living life to the full with husband Cliff and family Phillip, Deborah and families.
Betty would always have a smile and never say no to anything or anyone and would always " Look on the bright side of life ".
Betty will undoubtedly leave a vacant space in so many lives, but we are all the happier for her life's presence.
GOD BLESS.
