Those we love don’t go away
They walk beside us every day
Unseen, unheard but always near
Forever loved, Forever missed

I have been asked to copy the few words I spoke
at the end of Eugene’s Memorial Mass on 9 November .
We would like to thank Fr John , everyone here and those watching at home , this Memorial Mass for Eugene.
If I had to sum up the qualities I admire most in Eugene the list would be endless.
But, the summary would be headed by, Honesty,Integrity,Kindness,Compassion,Loyalty,Generosity And the unconditional love and support he gave to us all.
I am thankful for the treasure trove of memories that I have with my life with Eugene. Even although I feel as if my right arm has been removed and I have a huge hole in my heart.
I know that someday I may again laugh when I remember his awful jokes, wicked sense of humour and the crazy situations he got himself into.We all have many a good story involving Eugene’s antics from DIY home and garden improvements, relationship with ladders to family and friends holiday shenanigans.
There will come a time when I will be able to look back at our lifetime of memories together and smile.
Until then I would love it for you to share your stories of your time together on this obituary notice.
It gives me great comfort to know that there are others out there thinking and mourning for this great man Eugene.
Finally, Ewan and I are grateful to all our family and friends for the phone calls, texts, messages and unconditional support and love shown to us.
We thank you.
Please remember Eugene in your prayers
