It is with heart aching sadness we announce the passing of our precious husband and father, Charles Robert Kennedy on 7th November 2020.

This painful day we lost our Rock, our Captain, our ‘Governor’. It hurts.

We will be laying to rest our ‘special man in the stars’ on Thursday 26th November 2020, 12pm at Wilford Hill Cemetery, where he will finally be reunited with his beloved parents, brother and ‘one in a lifetime’ friend. Due to the current pandemic the funeral will be attended by immediate family only, however we welcome your condolences and personal memories, a legacy we as a family would take great comfort in. Your condolences and memories can be left by following the link below.

In the New Year we will be holding a local ‘Celebration of Life’ in which we welcome everyone who knew our father to join us in an uplifting trip down memory lane, a dedication to a ‘unique’ soul and in raising a glass to our ‘Brave Heart’.

Our father received an exceptional level of care during the remaining months of his life, from both Marie Curie and the St Barnabas charities. These special services we hope will continue to remain available to those who need sensitive care, compassion and empathy at the most challenging time of any family’s lives. Because of these charities, our father was granted his final wish of remaining home, retaining his dignity whilst surrounded by his family - who led him by the hand to the ultimate home in the sky to ‘catch his wings’. His devoted wife and eternal soulmate (our mother) by his side. This being the greatest ‘final gift’ of all.

Rather than flowers, we are requesting a small (optional) donation to either of these charities which can be accessed through the link below - our collective gift back to these precious services

With fond love and safe wishes to you all.

The Kennedy family xxx
