The most kind hearted and caring lady I’ve probably ever met!! My teacher and music teacher through primary school who built up my confidence massively! I missed the shows and choir so much after leaving school that I came back to still be a part and perform because of this lady and how she made me feel!! Not a bad bone in her body and it feels like yesterday she was sat in front of me playing the piano so beautifully!! Such a truly honoured lady who will never be forgotten! Love you Liz!❤️

Sending lots of love to all of Liz’s family!❤️

One of the most generous, kind, talented beautiful ladies I have ever had the pleasure of being taught by. You made my time at Seamer and Irton so special, you gave me my voice and helped build my confidence. Thank you for always believing in me and making me feel like a star. 🌟

First for being my year 1 teacher and second for letting me be a part of your shows in the Chamber Choir. When I think of an outstanding teacher, I think of you. I will have my own class some day soon; you inspire me to be that kind and caring teacher, like you always were for me. You have touched hearts of so many, may you rest in peace ❤️

Lauren xx

My heartfelt prayers and healing go to your family in this heartbreaking time 💗💗 Xx

There are simply no words powerful enough to describe how much of a talented, inspirational lady Liz was. When I reflect on my memories at Seamer and Irton School, the ones that stand out the most have always been the performances with the choir. My favourite memory was singing ‘Thankyou for the Music’ in a school production. Being a quiet, shy child, Liz was always somehow able to turn me info a confident, care-free little performer when I sang this song. Liz had the ability to bring out talents in children, that they never realised they had. She gave me and my younger sister so many wonderful opportunities, from performing in the school choir, to performing with the Ayton Ladies Choir, to singing at her daughter Amy’s wedding. I am so incredibly grateful for that. Liz will always inspire me in my future, especially when I am teaching a class of my own. Being the beautiful lady she was, she brought so much happiness, laughter and smiles my childhood. Without Liz, I would never have a passion for singing and music like I do. As the song goes, Liz, ‘Thankyou for the music, for giving it to me’.

I am sending so much love and strength to Tony and Liz’s lovely daughters at this heart breaking time Xxx

To a very special, kind, generous and by far the most talented lady I know, shine brightly like I know you will. Thank you for not only being my teacher, but for being my mentor, my inspiration, my guidance and my friend. Thank you for everything you did for me, from letting me join the school choir a year early, to letting me sit with you for dinner and practice and for being the absolute inspiration and purpose of why I love singing so much. I am so lucky and appreciative of the time I spent with this beautiful women. Thank you for all the opportunities you gave me, from singing in the choir from a young age, to joining Ayton ladies choir, to singing at her daughter, Amy’s, wedding. Always the brightest smile that lit up everyone else’s. She had such a lovely sense of humour, she always found a way to make me giggle, my favourite was when she would find a way to distract herself and then giggle at herself when her husband, Tony, would ask what she’s doing. Thank you for believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself. There will never be enough thank yous to every justify the amount Liz did for my and my sister.
Sending my love to Tony, her beautiful daughters and the rest of her lovely family.
Rest peacefully you beautiful lady🤍
Liv🤍✨

We had so many laughs in our teenage years, making music, going to concerts, playing piano duets as fast as our fingers would let us.
Taken far too soon Liz. Much love to all the family
