In loving memory of Damien Chandler who sadly passed away on 27th September 2020 aged 41.

Damien’s sudden death came as a terrible shock to his family and friends, and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He was a much loved father, son, brother, nephew and friend.

Damien lived life to the full and his big smile and sense of humour endeared him to many people. Having worked for over 20 years as a Cleaning Operative for Surrey County Council, he was well-known in the community for his open, friendly nature and his willingness to help others out.

Football was his biggest passion and he always attended Reading F.C.’s home matches, which is where he made many of his longstanding friends. He also enjoyed going on cruises, with his last one being a special trip to Vancouver and Alaska.

Family was important to Damien, and he was extremely proud of the young woman his beloved daughter, Kyra, had become. He was also very close to his parents, Gerald and Brenda, his ‘big little schwister’, Sarah, and his uncle, Brian.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the number of people we could invite to Damien’s funeral was restricted. However, we would like to invite you to join us via a live web link on Monday 23rd November at 1 p.m.
