In loving memory of Sharon Matthews who sadly passed away on 28th October 2020, our eldest sister Sharon had fought against Dementia for a lot of years,
The final 15 months she spent in 2 care homes, with her final residence at Parker House Care Home,
She was a mother to 2 beautiful daughters, Dawn and Samantha, and 2 sons, Shane, Daniel, and Nana to Katie, Calvin, Elisa, Marc, Megan, Natalie, Louise,Alison, who she adored, she was sister to Linda, Brian, Daylene,Caroline,Angela, and eldest daughter to Dennis and Betty Soar, Sharon 1st husband John Singleton gave Sharon a very exciting and well traveled life, a Army life she adapted to very Quickly, living around London, then living in Hong Kong for 2 years, and Germany for 3 years, then moving back to Nottingham when John left the Army, sadly the marriage broke down, and Sharon remarried, her life was a hard and unhappy life for many years before her passing, but her closeness to her daughters grew, she enjoyed her weekends at Samanthas and holiday with them to Dorest,
The last 15 months of Sharons life were a living nightmare for her, the dementia robbed her of happy memories, except her need to be with her mum and dad, and find peace with them,
All her childhood memories all about mum and dad, so rest in peace now Sharon, your free and we’re you want to be, your turn to shine, we love you, RIP, xxxxx

My dearest sister Sharon.
Gone but not forgotten. Not lost but gone before.
I will miss our visits to Parker House. When Daylene and I came to see you and I told you it was Linda who had come to see you and a big smile came across your face and you said "I have been looking for you"
We have many memories of our visits. When you and Daylene were dancing to Elvis. Our tea parties with lots of your favourite cakes which were fondant fancies.
When we asked you if you would like another cake and you said "I dont mind if I do".
We talked alot about our holidays to Chapel St Leonard's with mum and dad and Rusty the dog when we were all little. They were such happy times spent together.
I will love and miss you till we meet again.
Love always Linda

My dearest sister Sharon. The years have passed yet it feels like only yesterday we were children at Eastwood. A life of joy and happiness filled with the love from mum and dad.
You were always there when we needed you and as our oldest sister you took the role very seriously.
Many curved balls came your way but you resolutely came through it all.
The later years were not the happiest and the illness took you to places you did not want to go.
Your where you have longed to be, mum and dad are now at your side.
Along with Caroline you were taken much too soon.
But you can now rest and be free from all the hurt and pain.
I promised mum that I would watch over you, even though it was from afar, I hope I lived up to mum's wish.
I shall miss you dearly, I shall miss our times together when I came over.
No longer shall I see or hug your mortal form, but you will live and remain forever in my heart.
Thank you for all those years my big sister.
Rest well Sharon, you deserve to have this peace.
