Ron Curzon (13 Jul 1938 - 14 Oct 2020)

Ronald Curzon, (Ron) sadly passed away on October 14th 2020, aged 82, in his family home at Wollaton, surrounded by his loving daughters; Sue, Lynn, Tracey and Helen.

Ron is now reunited with his beloved wife Mary. They met when they were both 16, and were married in 1959, sharing 58 years together, until she passed away after her long struggle with Alzheimer’s in 2017. Ron looked after and cared for Mary with love and dedication for all of those years.

Ron spent his working life with wood and worked for local family cabinet makers who recognised both his skills and commitment. He was also a talented woodturner, musician, crafter, and had a wealth of knowledge about nature and wildlife.

During his lifetime Ron had been an active member of the church, always ready to lend a hand and use his skills where needed. He played in a variety of folk groups over the years, entertaining others with his love of music and guitar playing.

Ron leaves so many behind who love him dearly. His 4 daughters and their families, including his 8 grandchildren; his wider family of in-laws, nieces and nephews, and so many old friends and neighbours who will all miss him and feel the gap he leaves in their lives forever.

It’s time to rest now Ron, and be at peace.
