A sad time for all that had the pleasure of knowing Dennis, to know Dennis was to love Dennis, such a kind and caring neighbour.

Throughout my childhood, every Christmas, without fail Dennis would give a box of chocolates. Then, when Sara was born, Dennis would get her a box of chocolates every Christmas. Christmas won't be the same anymore.

You will be missed by us all, love the Aziz family at no.17.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Denis , one of lifes true characters and a good friend to my family the Willans family . I will never forget as a child watching Nottingham Forest beat everything put in front of them and getting a chewy mint off Denny every time we scored . Denis , my dad and Dougie Smith had some great times together and I can still hear them having a laugh now.
I will never forget Denis dapper as ever and pipe in the corner of his mouth passing the time of day with everyone he encountered
God bless , another Good un gone X

Dear Uncle Denny, I won't forget your kindness to me as a child. When I used to visit Mammar (at Kingston Court), I so loved coming down to see you in that tiny shop you had down there where Sneinton Road ran into Bath Street. You would always tell me to grab a bag of crisps and then proceed to ask me how my family were getting along. I always left thinking 'oh my Uncle Denny cares about me and my life', I have very clear and distinct memories of you and your kindness to me, and for this I am the better, Nephew Dean.
