There are so many memories I've had of Linda.
There was when Dave 1st introduced me to Linda.
He told me the address I was to meet them at Melville Court. After knocking on the door saying hi nice to meet u Linda I'm Steve. Then to be told sorry wrong door we all laughed about it still felt silly.
When Linda was asked to be my daughter Lisa Godparent. She was so pleased.
But the best one was the day Dave & Linda got married Linda looked so happy with my brother Dave.

With all our love u will Sorely missed. Steve. Xxx

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

Linda, you were taken to early and that's unfair; but now at least you are in a place without pain. Your loved ones will carry your spirit in their hearts forever.

  • I first met Linda at Least court Players where we were often cast as a couple in the many plays and farces that were performed at the Methodist Church. We often had a quiet laugh when people thought we were actually married. (Must have been your excellent acting skills Linda). This is a scene from All For Mary.

My first memory of Linda was when I arrived at work for the first time in 1979 she was so friendly and made me feel at ease, i went on to baby sit her son Neil who I believe is married with a little girl. Linda was always listening to Barry Manilow, she loved her canary bird. Linda and Dave were always invited to my family celebrations and we classed them as part of the family. Linda will be sorely missed by all the people's hearts she touched.
Rest in peace my friend

I remember how the famous five used to walk to school together. You, me, Carol, Barb and Sharon. If the weather was dry when we got to the top road we'd spend our thruppence bus fare on sweets from the little sweet shop by the bus stop and then walk to school.

Each night I shed a tear,
As I speak to you in prayer,
To let you know I love you,
And just how much I care,
Take our million teardrops,
Wrap them up in love,
Then ask the wind to carry them,
To you in heaven above.
