Hi Nick, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being such a great husband to my Mum. You always had time for anyone, anything and you always put your family first. You have been taken from this world far too soon however you will never be forgotten. I’m sorry that you you never got to meet my Son and I’m sorry it had been a while since we spoke. Rest in peace Nick

I'm sending this for the Lyne family, and in particular Rhona.....What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little we begin to understand not that you died, but that your life gave us memories too beautiful and precious to forget. I will miss you Nick, we had some memorable chats in the Sunny and I was looking forward to visiting Malawi and Mozambique next year. Sadly this will no longer take place. RIP Soldier, see you in Valhalla at the final RV. 😥😥💔🙏

Dear Nick, such a shock to hear the news of your passing. We served our last couple of years together in Aldershot, had our Joint 22 year Regimental dinner. I feel honoured to have had you as a friend and meeting Rhona. We had some laughs and good times in the Mess. Will always remember the New Years Eve Party you came to round mine. You and another bloke presenting yourselves in my dresses you been rummaging in my bedroom. Then having a play fight with potted plants in the garden. Then you both went missing over the pitch black fields out the back still wearing my dresses. So very funny, we were all chuckling and hoping you got picked up by the Police. Happy Days. You rest now dear friend. Will never forget you. Xx

It was a pleasure to serve and work with Nick whist with the 3rd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers both in barracks or in the field he was an excellent chef and operator, Nothing was ever to much trouble for him. During the first Gulf War he was the kind of soldier you wanted by your side always good for a laugh and joke he kept moral high during some difficult times. Of course on return we parted hard and I will always have fond memories of sharing a few late nights and the inevitable hangovers that followed with him. My thoughts are with his family at the sad time, taken far to early in life my he rest in peace - For now it’s time to turn to the right and March off - I salute you my friend your duty done.

Such sad news. Taken way to early. All my love to Rhona, Chris, my best mate Dan and the rest of the family. I met Nick quite a few times at various places and always had a great laugh together mostly at the expense of our beloved club Manchester United. A great bloke and one day we will see you again for a game of poker and thimble of whisky 🥃

Rhona Lyne We never met Nick but having known you as a friend for many years I feel we did know him. Every time we spoke Nicks name would crop up mostly you were counting the days until he came home. You always looked forward to this and I know how much having Nick in your life meant. We will still speak on the phone regularly and Nick will forever be a part of our 'chats'. Take care my friend, be strong. Tony & Penny XX
