In loving memory of Dave Bennett who sadly passed away on 1st September 2020
I am supposed to write here about Dave's life, however, I cannot see past the pain and suffering he went through so I will tell you about the last couple of years.
Dave had cancer for almost 3 years. It started in his bowel, then spread to many parts of his body. He had various chemotherapy treatments, but his poor body could not tolerate it. Due to this he was admitted to hospital on several occasions for treatment to help stabilise his body.
Dave was such a fighter, he never complained and he was the best patient anyone could ever ask for. He was always positive and ready to take on the next challenge. Everyday he endured a different ache or pain, but he just tried to carry on the best he could. I don't think anybody apart from our family really knew how poorly he was.
I have never seen anyone suffer so much in my life, it was only the last couple of hours of his life that he was pain free and really at peace. No one deserves to suffer like he did. At the age of 58 his body could take no more and my shining light was taken away from me.
There are many charities out there that do an amazing job, these charities have really suffered this year due to Coronavirus and could really do with our support. We have chosen two charities that were very close to Dave's heart LOROS & Cancer Research.
If you would like to make a donation no matter how big or small it would be very much appreciated. This will help them to give the ongoing support and help to save many peoples lives in the future. Many thanks
