It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sandra Rosina LITTLE, formally TRACEY aged 77 years, who passed away surrounded by her family at her home in Devizes after a short illness. She leaves behind her loving husband Malcolm whom she had been married to for 55 years, and her sons Gary, Neil, Jimmy, and her daughter Suzie. She will now be reunited with her daughter Jayne whom sadly passed away aged 6 weeks, in 1973. Sandra was also a wonderful mother in law to Mandy, Helen, Jo, Emma and Jay. An amazing grandmother to Jamie, Ali, Cally, Austin and Josh, and recently a Great Grandmother to Ava Mae and Lola Annie, whom thankfully she got to meet.
She was also a wonderful sister to Ros, Lorna and Vanessa and shared a close relationship with her cousin Pru, along with many other family member's.
Sandra was born at Ivy House in Devizes and raised in Potterne where she attended school, and went on to meet Malcolm who she married on the 19th April 1965 at Potterne Church. They went on to live in Market Lavington, Potterne and latterly Devizes over the years.
Sandra worked at St James Hospital in Devizes as an auxiliary nurse for many years and finished her career as a Support worker at Semington Day Hospital and latterly Orchard day hospital working in the (CITT) Complex Intensive Treatment Team for older adults. She had many wonderful work colleagues , and often talked about them, with fond memories.
Sandra loved to travel, and her and Malcolm were very fortunate to travel to many places all over the world, going on many cruises and trips, and more recently were lucky to spend many longer periods of time In Tenerife, where they made many wonderful friends.
Sandra was also a great support to her family over the years, she would always put others first and if you needed her she would be there. We will never forget her smile, her laugh, her chat, her humour but most of all we will never forget the kind and loving person she was.
She will be terribly missed by Malcolm, her family and friends and may she now be at peace and reunited with Jayne. We hope she knows how very loved she was.
Donations in Sandra’s memory can be made via online at A.P McDonald Funeral Services Devizes to Dorothy house and Cancer Research. We had the wonderful support of Helen from Dorothy House on Sandra’s last night, Her advice and support was invaluable and we could never thank her enough. Also was the outstanding care and dignity given by the District Nurses, doctors, Audley and Blue bird Care Teams, and of course the wonderful team at RUH Bath. Without you all we would never have been able to get Sandra home to spend her last days with her family, and we will be eternally grateful we had those special last moments with her.
We will be holding a private funeral service at West Witshire Crematorium, Semington on the 08th September 2020 at 1.45pm. And we will hold a celebration of her life at a later date once restrictions have lifted.
The family would like to thank everyone who has sent cards, flowers and condolences to Malcolm and the family, it has been a great comfort to know how much Sandra was loved and thought of.
THOSE WE LOVE DON’T GO AWAY
THEY WALK BESIDE US EVERYDAY
UNSEEN, UNHEARD, BUT ALWAYS NEAR
STILL LOVED, STILL MISSED, STILL VERY DEAR
