I am so sorry to have come late to this, only just having heard the very sad news. Dawn, you meant so much to me when I was young. I always hoped our paths would cross again someday and am very sorry not to have made that happen. I would have loved another chat, gossip, laugh and to benefit from your vast knowledge and incisive wisdom once again. Memories of sitting in numerous judges boxes with you helping out and learning so much, making a 'guy' for the Offham bonfire in 1984, riding 'Gladys' to your wise instruction - followed by Aldon Lane clear round jumping - will never leave me, not to mention Toby, Fing, Oogly and Tyke. Rest well, dear Dawn, my deepest condolences to Alfred, Anthony and Camilla. You will have left an unfillable hole but memories of you, your sharp intelligence, wit, humour, smile, huge heart, and amazingly beautiful and powerful presence will never fade.
