Gma. I don't know where to start. I guess first things first I owe you a massive thank you. Thank you for all the amazing memories that you've left with me, memories that I'll endlessly cherish and hold on to, memories that will put a smile on my face when I'm feeling down, and memories that will remind me to do right. I remember coming over you your house when I could only just walk and heading straight for the cookie tin, covering myself in chocolate fingers - you always knew the right way to get me to like you. We moved a way but kept in contact, you visited many times and I won't ever forget the little things that made us both laugh and smile. Having Mr Whippy ice creams along Milford Beach and buying kiwifruit chocolate bars in the Coromandel. As I grew up I became more and more guilty of something I now deeply regret. I wasn't in contact with you as much as I should have been. If I could just say one more thing to you, it'd be that although we didn't speak and see one another as often as we could have, you were never too distant from my thoughts. I still remembered those amazing memories of you that you'd always be so caring and kind. I hope you've found peace in your new resting place, knowing you I'm sure that you will have. You'll forever be missed by many, and that is a testament to how many people's lives you've made better - just by being there. Good bye Grandma, I'll love you forever and I will never forget those beautiful memories and lessons that you've left with me with. RIP xx

I met Dawn through Daventry May Day Group as she was May Queen in 1957. It was lovely reminiscing about memories of May Days and life at the Old Abbey School, and looking at old photos. Dawn was a lovely lady, always friendly, smiling and someone you could easily warm too. She left this world far to early and will be missed by all who knew her. RIP Dawn x

Gma, you were such a kind hearted soul who was taken from us far too early. Whenever I spoke to you (which was not often enough) you always had a smile on your face and you were always happy. I'm sorry you couldn't witness more of my life and I of yours, but I am happy to say you were my Grandma. Although it had been two years since I last saw you, I can still remember your scent, your touch and the warmth of your hugs. You will be forever in mine and many mores hearts, rest in peace with the angels. Love you endlessly xx

Lovely memories of Dawn - school days and teenage years with sugared net petticoats and tight belted waists (Dawn had the tiniest waist - the rest of us tightened our belts) - Lots of fun at dances and parties at each other's houses. Very sincere condolences to Alan and all the family and friends.
