In fond memory of Cath who was one of the most hard working, kind and gentle people I knew. We worked together on Community from 1977 to 1980 and I know her patients meant everything to her. Her family too meant the world to her and I send them my best wishes and condolences on the sad loss of Cath.

In loving memory of Cath Glenny who Passed away peacefully at home with family on 31st July 2020, aged 87 years.
Dear wife to the late Matty Gilsenan and late Paddy Glenny. Cherished mother to Marion, Bernadette, Deirdre, Derek, Chris, Matt and stepmother to Frank, Brendan, Vanessa, Olwen and Robin. Much loved mother-in-law and proud grandmother to many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her influence extended beyond her family to friends, work colleagues and the many patients who knew her as Sister Glenny, that she cared for over her long rewarding career working for the NHS in hospital and the community. A forerunner in her field, she helped many to go on to have happy and fulfilling lives. Even in retirement she was still acknowledged by former patients.
The family would like to thank Macmillan for their guidance, and the staff, including former work colleagues at the
Village Surgery for their fantastic support, advice, and care, that enabled the family to fulfil Cath's wish to stay at home.
Sadly, due to current restrictions a private funeral service will be held at St Mary's Church, Derby prior to burial at the old Nottingham Road Cemetery.
Family flowers only please, donations in memory payable to ‘Treetops Hospice Care’ may be sent c/o Murray's Funeral Directors 25 Main Street, Findern, DE65 6AG Tel: 01332 425022 or through this page.
