Anna Craik (30 Aug 1929 - 25 Jul 2020)

So today is our final farewell. No ‘I’ll see you tomorrow’ anymore.
I’m cherishing the memories, the support and care you showed Alan, me and your grandchildren. Enjoying their gigs, football, concerts, dancing, and major achievements, always by our side wherever and whenever you could be. You played such a huge role in all our lives and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
These last 7 months were difficult but with the true force of a Mediterranean woman you battled through, springing back into life when they stopped all your medication. What was lovely was that you trusted me, you let me help and care for you, thank you!
So, no drives in the afternoon, endless episodes of EastEnders, Emmerdale and Coronation Street, no Rossi ice creams, fish and chips or sausages on the barbecue. The days are already different and will be for a long, long, time to come.
You have and will continue to leave a huge void. No midnight mass, Christmas dinners or Boxing Day, our ‘Ladies that Lunch Club’ will be a table for 3 instead of 4, that will be odd!
But what we all have are the big and lasting memories, they will never go away. Your love of life, parties have taught us all to embrace life. You will always be in our hearts.
Stop worrying now about everything, just rest in peace

Nina you were the best Aunty ever! We had lots of fun and laughter, I'm going to miss you so much every time I hear Elvis I'll think of you, Italian songs we used to dance to, you lit up the room whenever you came with David to visit us, latter years just a phone call away. The lasting memory I have was your 90th Birthday which I will treasure.

Lovely lady with an amazing spirit who socially just gelled with everyone she met, irrespective of age or nationality. As comfortable at 90 going to see her Elvis impersonators as she was going to rock gatherings in her late 80’s to see her grandson in his band .... and right at the front too as reported in the local paper! A ‘life & soul’ example to us all not to let age, mobility, personal safety fears or anything else hold you back ... ever 👏😂. You will be missed so much Nina (Anna) Craik ❤️. If you don’t quite recall Anna, you probably never met her!
