In loving memory of Graham 'Brian' Sartain who sadly passed away on 18th July 2020.
Brian leaves behind his beloved Barbara, his children, Stephen, Carol, Ian, Julie and Sue who all have children who will miss their grandad dearly.
We would all like to Thankyou for your kind words, expressions of sympathy at this sad time.
Brian was the 7th child of 9 born to his mum Grace and dad William. Grace bought all of her children up on her own when William sadly passed when Brian was just 5 years old.
Brian was a keen sports man, loved his football and cricket, which he represented his county for many years ago. Then he found pub sports and ladies.....
Darts became his favoured sport and over the years he played competition after competition, again playing for the county, the children remember weekends at holiday camps, darts competitions and all the trophys their dad would take pride in bringing home.
Brian had a varied career growing up with various roles but his passion was always for entertaining and looking after others so being a publican for the majority of his adult years suited him well, which is how he met Barbara, 25 years ago in the pub he managed 'Boots and Laces' in Leyton.
I'm his later years dad joined a new family in GA, he and Barbara made some lifelong friends and helped to organise various events and between them they have helped so many others at times of difficulty and we cannot Thankyou all for the love and support you have returned to Brian and Barbara when things have been difficult for them over recent months and now nursing Barbara through this difficult time.
As you will appreciate in current times we will be limited for numbers at the service on 6th August, if you wish to attend please let Barbara or one of us know and we will let you know ASAP if their is still capacity at the Chapel.
Sadly there will not be room for everyone and we can only apologise for this, as it would not be our wish to turn people away, we know dad was a huge character, loved and respected by many. We will hold a memorial service as soon as we are able or at the very least on the years anniversary, you will all be welcome to attend this.
Thanks again, be safe and be kind always x
