Derrick Andrew Otim (21 Mar 1996 - 3 Jul 2020)

In loving memory of Derrick Andrew Otim who sadly passed away on 3rd July 2020 in the USA where he Lived the last four years at the age of 24. Before going to study and play in America (Xavier university) he played for Nottingham Forest youth team. Prior to that he attended Walter Halls & the Gedling school where he excelled in everything he did.
Derrick was an angel who walked among us! He is a son to Joy and Simon (deceased) brother to Bella, Elvis & Herbert. He is also a loving uncle to Tayah, Havana and Anaiah fondly called Twiggy by him. He had the most infectious smile and always lit up the room when he walked in. Del Boy spent most his life playing football both professionally and as a hobby, he always gave 100% in whatever he loved doing. He loved his family, friends and everyone he met! Del is unique, kind to the core, heart of gold, very funny, an amazing dancer, photogenic, free style dresser, loves music so much he was always singing, loved songs with meaning, very very intelligent, always smiling, always had a broken phone screen, losing his property at the airport every time, replayed the same over and over again till we got fed up, very vain (mr Dark chocolate himself), a charmer and the list goes on...... his wings were ready but our hearts was not.
We all love you soooo much and not a minute will go by without us thinking about you! You had a purpose and you fulfilled it. Rest in peace handsome💓
