In loving memory of Jennifer Mary Thompson who sadly passed away on 13th July 2020.
Affectionately known as Jenny, loving wife to Jack, proud mother of four and grandmother to eight, she fought a 19 year long battle with Multiple Myeloma.
Born in Exeter, Devon she was a keen bell-ringer and girl guide, attaining the Queens guide award. She trained as a primary school teacher and devoted much of her life to education and youth work. After marrying Jack in 1971, and moving to Ireland she then followed him to Africa & taught across the continent. They retired in Plymouth, retrained as bridge teachers and were very active in the Plymouth Moorview Conservative committee. A sharp mind and a generous listener, she had many interests particularly in sport and nature. She was a strong, independent and determined woman, never giving up, even after many years of arduous medical treatment.
The loss of Jack after almost 45 years of marriage left her heartbroken, and although she will be sorely missed, we are comforted in the thought that they may find each other again.
May she Rest In Peace.

Fond memories of cousin Jenny. Her dad was my mums (Winifred Mills) nee Smith first cousin. We met up with Jenny and Jack at Princeton when Max and Dawn Smith from New Zealand visited and after a Christmas lunch tradition followed for a few years. Our sincere condolences to all the family. Reunited with Jack together again. May she rest in peace.

Thinking of you all at this lonely time... Katy, Sara, John & Patrick, spouses and grandchildren.I hope you will treasure wonderful memories from Ireland to England to Africa and back of both Jenny and Jack.
Now may Jenny's spirit soar to that place beyond all limitations where she will live life in all its fullness reunited with dear Jack, her parents Sid and Olive and brother Colin.
