Mr Morris, A true gentlemen with a big heart and a smashing sense of humour. I had the pleasure of taking care of both Dennis and Beryl at Chetwynd House where they were a delight to care for. Dennis always had a smile on his face and a loving and careing nature. He would tell me daily how much he loved those cloest to him and how very proud of each of them.
Sleep tight Mr Morris you are now at rest with your loving Wife Beryl.

I met Beryl and Dennis when I started teaching in Nottingham and was welcomed into their family circle. Just the kindest family you could wish to meet. Dennis was so proud of his daughters and delighted when they were my bridesmaids. My family who are now spread round the world are sending messages about the fun and games they enjoyed when we met up. Barbara

Treasured memories of a true and faithful friend who was always there for our family. It was an honour to count him and his family as our friends.

We have so many wonderful memories of Dennis, it's so hard to name a few. I love how much Dennis loved children, as did Beryl. They always had a smile and a hug waiting for my daughters when I brought them into work to visit. I will also miss that wicked sense of humour! What you had with your wife Beryl was nothing short of true love. I hope you rest in eternal peace together.

Lots of love

Jenny - Care Manager at Chetwynd House

So sorry to hear about Dennis' death. We had not been in touch much recently but have fond memories of his and Beryl's central place at Chilwell Road Methodist. We are in possession of a couple of his fine fish and crosses made from unused pews, and his nativity scene was a marvel. They were lovely people and we also have memories of visiting and Dennis being very interested in and encouraging of our children's piano playing - I think at least one of the children obliged with a piece or two when we visited. A gentle spirit. Rest in peace.

Denis was a very special person in so many ways and especially to us. Always ready to help others and looking on the bright side, he was a good friend to have around when you needed one. Living far away in Belgium, we appreciate the times when that friendship was extended to us, in good times and in sad times. Back in 1970, when we were married, it was Denis who made our wedding rings and they are a daily reminder of just how much he, and his wife Beryl, meant to us.
Rest in peace, Denis, the world is a poorer place for your passing.
