Garry Walter Wilkinson (16 Sep 1944 - 12 Jul 2020)

Hello, I sat in the seat next to Garry at Forest for a number of years and he was very much my Forest friend. When he didn’t return this year I have been thinking and feeling concerned about him as I know he loved going to the Forest games. I just needed to know what had happened to him hoping that he had perhaps moved to another seat. I went down to the Forest ticket office to ask if they knew anything and a very helpful guy just let me have his full name and that they had received an email to say he passed away in July 2020. I feel very sad about that but for myself I now have closure, it was really upsetting me not knowing. I know this message is over a year since Garry passed away and I’m hoping his family see it and know that he is very much missed by me and my son Steve at the City Ground.

My sincerest condolences and deepest heartfelt sympathy goes out to Garrys family. He will be sadly missed I enjoyed his jokes and moments of laughter at Imperial Tobacco never was there a dull moment with him ! He was a true gentleman I hope you’re playing golf up there in the sky ! RIP Garry 🙏
