In loving memory of Brid Duggan who sadly passed away on 13th July 2020.

Brid was born in Cashel, Gortahork, Donegal on the 11th March 1932. She met Paddy on the boat to Liverpool where she was going to train as a Nurse. They got married in Birkenhead, Newcastle in 1952 and after a short period back in Donegal they came to Partick and set up their family home with 3 children in Dalcross Street. They then went on to have six more children, moved to the top of Gardner St and now have 12 grand children and 9 great grandchildren.

Brid enjoyed going to the F&F Bingo where she had many friends. She ran the Irish Centre in Govanhill for 5 years and then later in life took up playing Bridge and was the Secretary to the Western Bridge Club achieving the place of Bridge Master, she took great pleasure from coaching others in the skill.

Sorry to hear of Bríd’s sudden passing. With you in spirit and sorry we are unable to attend due to Covit travel restrictions.
Paddy, find comfort knowing that she’ll be giving you strength from above and has no suffering where she is.

Auntie Brid , beloved wife, mother, grandmother , great-grandmother, sister and aunt. Your love and laughter filled our hearts with such joy. We will all miss you so much. Until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
