George Thomas Box (25 Sep 1919 - 5 Jul 2020)

I remember Uncle George with much affection and so proud he reached 100 years.

My brother-in-law George was very fond of his brother Ron. I will always remember George driving to see us and taking Ron and myself out for a fish and chip supper and then coming in for a chat. Good times George, I will miss you, Doreen x

So sorry that we couldn't get to the service to say goodbye George. Thanks for all the memories, love from brother Arthur and family.

Today we say goodbye to Kelsey and Bradley's paternal great grandad - a lovely man who we had many great times with when the kids were growing up - he led a full life working and living near and for the old Arsenal football ground before moving down to Southend to live near his daughter when his wife died over 35 years ago - Grandad you were a legend and myself and Bradley will treasure our time with you last October for your 100th Birthday party - we won't be there to say goodbye today but we will come and have a chat at your place of rest soon.

Such fond memories growing up in Highbury hill with you living just a few doors away from ours & being a good work college & friend to our dad Arthur x Seeing you over the last couple of years & being able to reminisce was lovely, you were a true gent x Rest in peace Georgie Box, forever in our thoughts x

To a kind and dear family friend who gave me my first pay cheque, as a ball boy at Arsenal reserve games, all those years ago - OK it was only 40p in shiny 10 pence pieces which we used to gamble at half time by throwing them up against the West Stand wall but they were fond memories. You also used to drive us sometimes to our holidays at the seaside in your new car (it was always a new one), which we all appreciated very much.

Rest in peace Georgie Box. We will always remember you with much love.
