Caron was a mainstay of the Nottingham wrestling scene for a decade, and you could often see her smiling up at you from the front row of wrestling shows all over the area. She seemed delighted to have a small role to play in the scene, and when her children went on to become wrestlers and her husband a referee, the pride was quite clear. I would often go and sit with her for five minutes during the set up for House Of Pain shows in Beeston and have a quick chat, and her passion and enjoyment was very evident. She was also very funny; I remember one time whilst in character I tried to make her jump or flinch by roaring in her face, but instead she just roared back at me, becoming one of the few people to make me break character and laugh. Apparently she bragged about this for years. Her and Kev also once bought me a pint after a Paradox show when my card was declined, and after having been beaten up for 25 minutes that night, it was the best pint I ever had.
Caron and Kev were evergreen, a lovely couple who clearly enjoyed all the time they spent together, I will miss our chats and seeing her face at shows, I'll miss her banter and her clear enjoyment and joy of wrestling. Caron was a lovely, full hearted woman and she will be much missed by the wrestling scene, by her community, and by her family and friends. Fondly, fondly remembered.
