In loving memory of Michel Samir Wahba who sadly passed away on 10th July 2020
Our amazing Michel (or Misho) was born in Kuwait to Samir Wahba and Anna Touya. He was the 3rd child following Hani (Yanni) Gihan (Evangelia) and was followed 6 years later by Sophia. He was a mix of Egyptian and Greek descent, which has shaped his personality forever.
Michel lost his father at the young age of 6, but continued to live in Kuwait until the First Gulf War of 1990, where he was holidaying in Greece and continued to live there.
He moved to Egypt for a few years to finish his secondary school and following that moved back to Kuwait in 1997.
In 2002, Michel and Marynet met on the Internet, and fell in love from the first “sight”. He moved to the UK in 2003, and joined the University of Greenwich, to do a Bachelor degree Internet Information Systems, which he graduated from in 2008.
Michel and Marynet married in June 2006, and God has since granted them 3 beautiful girls, Anastasia (now 11) and twins Maria and Lucia (now 9).
Michel was a true family man, who devoted his whole life to make them happy, and would have gone to the end of earth to get or do anything for them.
In 2018, Michel was diagnosed with Melanoma, and this was the beginning of his agonising pain.
Despite having endured so much pain and agony, he was always smiling, caring and was still trying to make life as normal as possible for his wife and girls.
Unfortunately in April 20, Michel was given a terminal prognosis, and following that has continued to deteriorate rapidly until his departure to Heaven on July 10th, 2020, between the hands of his wife, at Greenwich and Bexley Hospice.
In addition to his wife and girls, Michel is survived by his mother, siblings, 7 nephews and 1 niece.
Being a Greek, He had a passion for boating, which was always the highlight for any trip. He also loved music and politics.
Michel will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
May the Lord repose his soul in the arms of the Saints.
Please pray for his family.“
