I have such fond memories of the happy times we shared with the Emery clan at the Oast in Mereworth. Chrissie´s fabulous cooking was always the highlight but I especially remember, with a giggle, how she once responded to Jon Bester´s somewhat "picky" demands with a toothpick stuck in a chicken (breast only please!) with a flag which read: "Jon Bester´s F...ing Chicken!" .

Over the many years of friendship we shared, my fondest memories will remain of the times we spent: Of being bundled in the back Bill´s van, singing our way to the concerts at Leeds Castle then stumbling home full of too much champagne, strawberries and fresh seafood. Of breakfasts and lunches around the vast living room table. Of garden parties and barbecues. Of singing Sinatra at the tops of our voices in the bar. Of Chinese New Year in fancy dress. Of listening to Chris´s endless exploits at boot fairs picking up pots for 50p which turned out to be Poole Pottery worth 300!. Oh and of so many more times that we laughed until our sides hurt.

Chris, you were an effervescent soul and your light and wisdom will be sorely missed. Rest safely back in the arms of your beloved Bill. He is back with his beloved "Lil". R.I.P lovely lady.

We hope you are able to draw some comfort from the wonderful treasured memories we all have.
The Parties, laughter the Good Old Swan Days! How lucky we all are to have had those times. Chrissie was always interested in what we were up to, when we lost Dad (Rex) and Mum (Lynn) she was the first person to visit with flowers. Even recently helped with some really good advice, what a Darling. Rest in Peace Chrissie we will miss you x

It's funny how much you can remember from when you were so much younger. I remember all of the boot fairs, our chats in the car, the times Nan looked after me at the oast and the hours we'd spend reading in bed. I will never forget her contagious laugh that bounced around every one of her antiques in the room. You will be greatly missed but never forgotten xx

So sad to hear of Aunt Chris' passing. I find it difficult to think of a time in her company where I wasn't laughing or smiling with her and enjoying her sense of fun and humour. Fun to be with; sometimes outrageous; always wonderful company. The World's light is a little dimmer today without her.

Chris...... you probably had no idea of the positive influence you had on Billy's friends whilst we were growing up, me included. You were a natural sharer, took no prisoners and had a brilliant sense of humour - all things we need to see in the adults we look up to and take our cues from. Thank you for the memories, the laughs and the guidance. Rest in peace and be proud of the life you lived and what you gave us. xxxx
PS - I still believe that you cooked that lasagne yourself. x

Brilliant gardener, ace cook and financial whiz with a huge zest for life - Chrissie was taken from us far too soon. She was a talented, witty personality who added much to my life as well as to Graham's. Above all she was incredibly kind. RIP one feisty, stylish lady.
