In loving memory of David (Dan) Sutton who sadly passed away on 25th June 2020.

Dan passed away peacefully at his home in Nottingham and will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 25 years, Melanie, his daughter Alison, son Robert and his four grandchildren, George, Molly, Joel and Henry along with family and many friends near and far,

A man who dedicated his life to teaching and sport. Playing key roles in the development of both West Bridgford Rugby Club and Radcliffe-On-Trent Cricket Club. Alongside many other voluntary roles in both cricket and rugby.

He left a real imprint on so many lives and will be sorely missed by all.

Due to the current restrictions the funeral will be invite only and there can't unfortunately be a wake. However the service will be streamed live, with a link to be shared closer to the date. There will also be the opportunity to attend the crematorium and listen to the service outside, as their are large gardens and a speaker system. We are also asking that everyone posts their memories below so we can capture all of the wonderful stories about Dan.

The aim will be to celebrate Dan's life with you all at a later date.

Family flowers only and charity donations can be made here:

What an amazing man and a truly great friend. Who else is going to miss the Friday evening phone call, saying that the team is one short and would you be able to play - and secretly being disappointed when you didn't get that call? He will certainly be missed by all who had the honour to know him!

First met Dan over 20 years ago. 'Would you like to get involved in cricket coaching?' were his first words to me. He persuaded folk to do stuff as everyone knew he would be doing more.
Usually a twinkle in his eye. A big man in every respect. Enjoyed life to the full.
ROTCC will not be the same without him. Big shoes to fill. Big impact on so many lives.
Condolences to Mel and the family.

First met Dan on my arrival at Dayncourt in 1977 and it seems like yesterday - on behalf of myself, Tony and Kwesi we all have such fond memories of you. I will never forget that afternoon at Eastwood when Dan bowled with a very low sun shining directly at the batters - you will be missed by all that met you

A wonderful man who made me laugh every day at LES. His singing was beyond compare and Tom Jones needed to be one step ahead throughout his career to keep Dan at bay. Delilah never did sound the same. You have left a great legacy in so many ways. Much love to Mel, Rob, Alison and their families xxx

Forever frustrated by whichever ridiculous thing Nigel or Charlie had done or said at the ground that week, but we always found a way just to laugh it off and grin through it all. Truly one of my favourite people, for whom I’d do anything.
