CONNELLY
George (Mills), age 92, (born Eglinton Lane, Gorbals)
George was born to Annie & John. He was 9th born to a family of 13 with 6 brothers and 6 sisters. George grew up in the Gorbals until the family moved to Househillwood 1949. His national service was in RAF and had various jobs including working as a barman in Nelsons Pub, Gorbals and working in Parks Department. George married Margaret Mason Chesney in 1951 (who sadly passed away in 1954) he later married Robina Donaldson Kay.
Peacefully at home on 15 June 2020 he passed away.
George beloved husband of the late Robina (nee Kay). Loving dad of Marie, Gerard, John & George (in law) Stephen, Louise & Patsy. Dear Grandad of wee Ruby, Michael, Jillian, Jenni, Martin & Leeann. Great Grandad of Finn, Sandy, Fraser & Grace.
Always in our hearts, we will miss you but know you are now at peace. X
Funeral mass at St Roberts Church, Peat Road, on Tuesday 30th June at 11am, (Immediate family only) there after to St Convals Cemetery Barrhead.
