Anna Zipser (11 Sep 1941 - 24 May 2020)
Funeral Director
Anna Zipser (known to many as Hania) was born in Ostrówki, Poland on 11th September 1941 to Rozalia and Stanisław Kunicki. She was one of three children along with Bogusia and Wiesiu.
With her first husband, Jerzy Pietras she had two children, Gosha and Jarek. Whilst living in Poland, she worked as a music teacher in Lubin. It was here that she met her second husband Mieczysław Zipser, a pilot with the Polish air force who was living in England. Shortly after marrying Mieczysław, Anna and her children emigrated to live with him in England.
At this point the family consisted of Anna’s two biological children, Gosha and Jarek as well as three of Mieczysław’s biological children, John, Peter and Marysia.
She was also a grandmother to Gosha’s children, Lesh and Adam, Gosha’s stepdaughter Lilly as well as Jarek’s children Amanda and Max.
Anna was greatly loved by all those who knew her and her passing was sudden and unexpected. A much beloved member of the Polish Choir in Nottingham, she will be remembered for her loving spirit and gentle nature.
