Auntie Esme lived with us in Surbiton in my early years as she helped out her sister, Elsie, working shifts and my father, Berwick Senior then working in Iran in the early 50s. She was lovely person as I remember and my initial impression as a kid was backed up as I got to know her later during visits to Nottingham, staying, for instance, with Phyl, Harold and the young Helena when I was 10, and as an adult with Frank and Margaret. I felt for her very much when Derek died so young. I send my condolences to all her family and friends.

Very sad to hear this. Auntie Esme looked after Geoff and I when we were very young. I remember her as a little lady who laughed with us a lot and made the world a happier place.
