Jean James (24 Jun 1938 - 12 Jun 2020)
Jean was born June 1938 the youngest of the surviving family of 12, she grew up in Radford Nottingham and met me whilst visiting her brother Harry in Weymouth in 1955.
We married in 1959, our first child Diane whom we lost at 2 years 9 months in 1964, while living in Bulwell.
Jean then gave birth to Donna we then moved to Hucknall where she gave birth to Carl.
Later we were publicans for 30 years in 3 different pubs, Horse & Jockey Basford then back to Hucknall to the Maltsovel, finally to the Happy Return in Lenton leaving in 1998.
Jean was the last surviving of her mothers family.

I knew Jean on and off for most of my life. I babysat Donna when I was a teenager and Rick was the 1st person to get me interested in music. Jean was my Mum's best friend and a truly wonderful lady in every way. A loss to everyone who knew her.

I remember all the times you and Uncle Richard used to visit Grandma Iris and Grandad Bill for a cuppa . They both thought the world of you Auntie Jean .
