In loving memory of Terence (Terry) Thayre who sadly passed away on 1st June 2020.

Terry is survived by his two beloved children, Darren and Paula.

Born in Northern Ireland in 1946, he was always proud of his Irish roots, and it was one of his favourite holiday destinations.

Things that few people perhaps know about Terry:

He used to manage of bunch of popular bands in the late 60's/early 70's, much to the annoyance of his father because the home phone line was inundated with "band business".

Terry has always loved to look smart even up until the end, In the 1970's he was a regular at Kings Road in Chelsea, where many of his suits and shirts were purchased.

He studied Judo for many years, achieving a 4th Dan black belt.

In the 90's Terry was elected as a Town Councillor in his home town of St Neots, where he proudly represented the local community for several years.

Terry married Helen in 1980, despite her passing away several years ago through a long battle with her health, Terry maintained he only ever loved one woman. In the care home where he spent his final weeks, one of the few personal possessions he held onto was a picture of the two of them in the 1970's, very much in love.

Rest in peace Terry.

Most of the memories I have of family fun in and around Duck Lane feature you and the guys Terry, which makes you a big part of my childhood. I'll always remember your sharp wit and unique sense of humour. God speed sir and may you rest in peace.

Lovely memories of my brother, meeting him from his first school in Northern Ireland me in a pushchair with our mother.
Coming to England and walking to school with him me age 5 and him 8 at Camelsdale School in Haslemere where we lived with our parents and grandmother in Hammer.
Moving to Shackleford where as a teenager he had a very social life with pop groups. Road Managing one called The Cutaways from Farncombe.
He was a very erudite, thoughtful and friendly man. Always willing to help people where he could.
I will miss him very much but hope he is in a better place and at peace.
Love always,
Hazel David & Family❤️
