In loving memory of Rodney Sloane who sadly passed away on 19th May 2020.
Rod will be much missed by me and his family and the many friends and acquaintances he made over the years.
Rod coped with vascular dementia with a quiet courage and dignity and never lost his sense of humour throughout. It was a privilege to have cared for him and later when in residential care he was a popular resident with his easy going nature. The staff have been saddened by his demise and will miss him greatly.
Rod, always good in a crisis, he could take charge when he needed to yet was humble enough to let others shine.
He gave his time and commitment so generously to the local community, co-founder of the Deepings U3A, part of the management team of Deepings Age Concern and was a loyal friend to many.

Thinking of you Kay at this difficult time and all Rodney's family and friends. I never had the pleasure of meeting Rodney but from what I hear he was a very lovely man. We hope that the memories will give you comfort and support in the days ahead and we hope that Rodney is now at peace. We will be thinking of you on Wednesday. Lots of love Claire & Rod xxx
