Sandra sadly passed away in the early hours of Monday 1st June with her family by her side. She lost her long hard fought fight against a very cruel relentless disease which took her away much too soon.
A devoted and loving wife to Ian for almost 45 years whose heart is truly broken 💔. His sense of loss overwhelming.
A”Special Mum” to Louise and Andrew and the absolute best Nana to her two beautiful grand daughters Nancy and Cecily whom she absolutely adored to the moon and back.
A loving caring and loyal Sister who was and still is loved so very much. Life just won’t be the same without you in it San
An Auntie to several Nieces and Nephews and a friend to so many having worked at the QMC for 36 years
Her funeral service will take place on Wednesday 17th June at 11.30 Bulwell Cemetery Chapel followed by a burial close to her parents who are buried nearby.
Family flowers only please but donations to Cancer Research UK will be gratefully received.
Unfortunately due to the current Covid 19 restrictions only a limited number of people will be able to attend the funeral which will be family only
We would like to fill the chapel over and over as we know we could but the current Social Distancing measures prevents us from doing this
Please check back here in a few weeks time as we are planning a celebration of Sandra’s life around her birthday in August

A very Special Heartfelt Thank you to all family and friends of Sandra who have been there through thick and thin.
Also to Doctor Chan and Doctor Khan and the Oncology team at the City Hospital. For all the care and support shown to Sandra through her illness and the support given to the family.
Also a special mention to Jo in Oncology Research, Helen her specialist breast care nurse, Doctor Ven and his team at Hayward House, Doctor O”Connor and Doctor Parker at The Wollaton Medical Centre and the staff on Gillies ward at The City Hospital who took care of Sandra in her final few days. You are all truly wonderful people caring and supportive through the last few years of Sandra’s life and we are so grateful to each and everyone of you. ❤️
