We have lost my dearest friend someone I have known for sixty years and with whom we shared many happy times. Janice and Jean started nursing together at
Swansea General Hospital and became firm friends which lasted until both their
untimely passing. Both families became very close sharing holidays, days out and many birthday parties together. In later years we often visited Alan taking him out for coffees and visiting the Gower. Although Alan suffered a lot in the last fifteen years I never heard him complain he was a very strong person and we had a lot of laughs together. We will miss Alan terribly. Rest in peace my friend.

I have such fond memories of my childhood and many years spent with The Fox’s. Alan was and will always be remembered as uncle Alan, the support Auntie Jean and Uncle Alan gave to me as I was growing up was truly special. You are all always in my thoughts and always in my heart. Thinking of you all.

There aren’t many people with whom I can genuinely say I’ve known my whole life. And I guess that’s testament to how much we value people and relationships - as they say friends come and go throughout our lives, but true friends..... So I know the Fox family hold a very strong bond with the Coopers. In fact there aren’t many people with whom a child bestows the title ‘Uncle’ upon someone were you aren’t genuinely related. Upon hearing Alan’s passing I was deeply saddened for Michael, Jenny and the rest of the family, but I’m sure he will forever be looking down with love and pride. He was a great man, a true friend to my mum & dad, and Someone I will always remember as Uncle Alan.

Dearest Alan.

You will be missed so very much by all of our little family, not least your lovely grandchildren.

Thank you for welcoming me into your family and for being the loveliest father in law a girl could have hoped for. I have loved our chats and laughs over the years, the boys have lived your snuggles and affection.

Shine bright up there, like the star that you are. Always in our hearts.

Lots of love,

Dan
