In loving memory of James (Jim) Rice who sadly passed away on 30th May 2020.

Jim was born in Belfast in 1941 to parents James and Sarah and had sisters Maggie, Sadie, Meta and Betty and brother Bill.

He joined the Royal Ulster Rifles and was honoured with medals for his service. While in the army he married his first wife, Olive and had sons Carlos and Marcus.

After his divorce he met Lyn and they married on the 8th December 1973. They had daughters Sharon and Debbie and were married for 46 years.

Jim worked for many years as a miner at Blidworth Colliery, then as a groundworker before retiring due to ill health.

Jim loved spending time with his family and grandchildren, spending days at the seaside and watching the birds in the garden.

Our lives are all the richer for having him in our world and he will be sadly missed by all that knew him.
