My darling, one-in-a-million sister. We miss you so much.

Pat and I were born 18 months apart and spent many Sunday afternoons as children together - in the days when families 'visited' on Sundays. Pat would prepare her 'potions' and I could help stir! We also collected flower petals for perfume potions. The biggest excitement was when Uncle Chas & Auntie Eve got a Television ( Chas worked then I think for Radio Rentalls so he was the first person we knew who owned one. I think it was only 'on' for part of each day so I always wanted to go then!). As we grew older my family moved away & meetings were rare, but Pat & I exchanged massive Christmas letters for many years, in fact they only stopped when Pat became too ill to write. I remember her, as Judy said, as a free spirit & a friend. Xx

I'd like to thank Pat for always being so welcoming to me. During my teenage years, I was always 'round the Howe's house. I even went on a couple of family holidays with Pat, Dick, Tim and Katie. At times I felt like part of the family! At a period when my home life was not that happy, the Howe's house was a bit of a sanctuary. THANK YOU PAT!

We shared many laughs together. Pat's humour was certainly one of a kind, and this humour has passed through the generations - oh dear!

Pat, you will be missed! But your spirit continues in all those who knew and loved you, including myself. Be at rest now.
