Funeral Director
In loving memory of Maureen Wheeler who sadly passed away on 29th May 2020. Our beautiful mum, daughter, sister, aunty, partner and loyal friend passed away at Musgrove Park Hospital on Friday 29th May. Anyone who knew Maureen will know that she was the most kind, loving and supportive soul who was a complete fighter until the end. She has left an enormous hole in our lives and hearts but we will be filled with love forever, because of her.
At this very difficult time, there will be a cremation service at Taunton Crematorium at midday on Friday 19th June for just very close family and friends, the ceremony will led by celebrant Emma Britton and will be live streamed. If you are unable to make the service, please contact Lucy (lucy@yogadoo.co.uk or 07960629503) and she will add you to the list to receive the link.
There will also be a public celebration of life, and scattering of ashes on Dunster Beach on the evening of Friday 19th at around 7pm (tide and weather dependent, more details to be confirmed) led by Lucy, Ian and Maureen's brother David which anyone is welcome to attend, in cars or on the beach in a socially distanced way.
For both occasions, we invite you to wear colourful clothes if you choose, to celebrate the joy that Maureen brought to so many people's lives.
There will be flowers from the family, and if anyone would like to make a donation to remember Maureen we have chosen three charities: Diabetes UK, The British Heart Foundation and The Born Free Foundation. You are welcome to make donations from this page, please also feel free to leave comments and share photographs and memories if you have them to celebrate Maureen's life.
“Look at the stars – how they shine and glow. Yet some of those stars died a long time ago.
Still they shine in the evening skies… love, like starlight, never dies”.
