Great memories of David in the snug at the Horse & Groom on a Tuesday evening, breezing in wearing his brushed breton pink trousers, always witty, great stories of his youth and the pit ...14 yards on a fast end! Always kind and good advice to me, a real gent. Will miss bumping into him in Hucknall and at the Griffin. A pleasure to have known you David RIP X

Condolences to all of the family. I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing David but if he was even half the bloke his son is then we’ve lost a good’n. Wish you all well.

I have fond memories of David, mainly from the years of working Tuesday night shifts at The Horse & Groom. The photo with his lager and cheeses and onion crisps, oh, and they had to be Walker's .

David - head strong, colourful & simply one of life's Great Characters! I'll cherish so many fond memories of all the laughs we shared. I'll miss our chats & your daily calls to Julian. Life just wont be the same without seeing your face pop up on the mobile each day at tea time - with those sparkly blue eyes & dressed to kill in those bright red braces you never failed to put a smile on my face :-) Life was certainly never boring with you around! I've no doubt you're having an absolute ball on other side... so until we meet a again ...Miss you to the moon & back, Good night , God bless & may you rest in Peace. Love always Jo x x x

First met up with David and family on holiday at Elm Grove and afterwards spent many a happy time staying at each others houses in the 80`s & 90`s, had some lovely times. Always will remember David coming down in the morning with just his underpants on and doing a session on the bike, a sight indeed. A very funny, kind man, only sorry we did not keep in touch.
RIP David.
